PENGARUH PANJANG STEK DAN MEDIA TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT BUAH NAGA (Hylocereus sp.)

ABSTRAK


Buah naga (Hylocereus sp.) merupakan salah satu komoditi yang cukup diminati di Indonesia karena, bentuknya unik dan menarik serta rasanya yang enak. Keberhasilan dalam budidaya buah naga ditentukan oleh penyiapan bibit yang baik dan berkualitas. Salah satu alternatif untuk mendapatkan bibit dalam jumlah banyak dan seragam, dapat dilakukan melalui perbanyakan stek batang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon berbagai panjang stek dan media tanam yamg sesuai untuk pertumbuhan bibit buah naga. Penelitian disusun menurut Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial Faktor I terdiri dari 5 level Panjang stek: 20 Cm (P1), 25 Cm (P2), 30 Cm (P3), 35 Cm (P4), 40 Cm (P5). Faktor II terdiri dari 2 level media tanam : tanah (M1), tanah + pupuk kompos + pasir (M2). Masing-masing perlakuan kombinasi diulang tiga kali. Panjang stek 40 Cm dan media tanam tanah (P5M1), Panjang stek dan media tanam tanah pupuk kompos + pasir (P5M2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada interaksi nyata antara perlakuan panjang stek dan media tanam terhadap bobot basah dan bobot kering akar, panjang tunas pada umur tanaman 5 MST (Minggu Setelah Tanam). Perlakuan kombinasi P5M2 yaitu panjang stek 40 cm dan media tanam campuran tanah + pasir + kompos tanah, menghasilkan panjang tunas, bobot tunas, panjang akar dan bobot akar terbaik dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya.

Dragon fruit (Hylocereus sp.) Is one commodity that is quite popular in Indonesia, because it is unique design and attractive, and it tastes good. Success in the cultivation of dragon fruit is determined by the preparation of good and quality seeds. One alternative to get the seeds in large quantities and uniform, can be done through the multiplication of stem cuttings. This study aims to investigate the response of various lengths cuttings and growing media yamg suitable for growing dragon fruit seedlings. Research compiled by completely randomized design (CRD) factorial first factor consists of 5 levels cuttings Length : 20 cm (P1), 25 cm (P2), 30 cm (P3), 35 cm (P4), 40 cm (P5). Factor II consists of two levels of growing media : soil (M1), soil + compost + sand (M2). Each treatment combination was repeated three times. 40 Cm long cuttings and planting soil media (P5M1), length of growing media cuttings and soil compost + sand (P5M2). The results showed no real interaction between the treatment of cuttings and planting medium length of the fresh weight and root dry weight, shoot length at the age of five plants MST (Weeks After Planting). P5M2 combination treatment is 40 cm long cuttings and planting medium mixture soil + sand + compost soil, produce long shoots, shoots weight, root length and root weight the best compared with other treatments.
